Stretch earned his nickname way before he started DJ’ing after reaching 6’ 4” by the age of 14.
At the age of 20 he was living in London and it was around this time that the Acid House scene blew up. This had a massive effect on the city and then the whole country both socially and culturally. Club nights were beginning everywhere and he managed to secure a residency as warm up Dj in a club in West London, bookings at other venues followed on.
In the early 90’s he formed a collective with two friends and together they staged parties all across London, this was for friends initially but together they grew a following and filled clubs like Haven Stable’s and The Boulevard in Ealing, The Milk Bar, The Cross in London and many other independent venues.
Music styles changed over time but today he will still play Progressive sounds as he did back then but also Electronica, Afro House and Melodic Techno. His sets in normal times in Thailand are notable for the story they tell, building from an emotional but brooding introduction but developing with an infectious energy, always credible and always strictly underground.
Don’t forget to tune in to hear the sounds of Stretch on the 1st Monday of every month @ 14:00hrs ICT (GMT +7)
