Karl Bird (UK) grew up in Birmingham, UK where he was heavily influenced by the Drum and Bass raving scene in his early days on the dance floor and behind the decks. At the tender age of twenty, he bought his first turntables and became a vinyl addict, playing several underground parties locally in the UK.
In 2011, Bird made the move to Bergen. It was here that he began to diversify his music styles through digital to house, and techno music. In 2015 was invited to become a resident on Klubbkveld, a weekly electronic music radio program, which later went on to become the DJ collective, Sista Laten.
Karl Bird is the co-founder of the drum and bass concept, D&B Society, and is working hard to grow the drum and bass scene in Bergen. Bird has been a repeat guest at many of the Bergen clubs including Østre, Landmark, and Dwell, as well as The Villa in Oslo. He has also toured with his brand of beats in Thailand and the Philippines.
